Dunes City Council has been attacking the City’s “town hall” style Citizen Involvement Committee. This activity is linked to the City Council’s continuous efforts to remove the City’s mandatory septic ordinance. Because Woahink Lake is the drinking water supply for not only Dunes City, but more than 1.5 million visitors annually to nearby Honeyman State Park, “Dunes City thus has a tremendous, far-reaching responsibility to protect the lake’s water quality. Any and all vigorous public involvement that will lead to increased water quality protection is clearly essential,” writes La Follette.
